SAUERKRAUT and KIMCHI, Fermented Food for Gut Health Wednesday March 24, 2021 - 7:30 pm to 8:30 pm
Cost $35 Gut Health seem to be two words that you hear often these days, but what is all the fuss about and what does it mean for you? Why is it so important? In this workshop you will learn why it is so important to maintain a healthy gut, the foods you should be eating to help and the foods you need to be avoiding. Fermented foods are one of the things you should be eating, and two of these are Sauerkraut and Kimchi. In this workshop you will have the opportunity to make either a batch of Kimchi or Sauerkraut, both are fermented foods that support gut health. I don't know about you but the sauerkraut I remember my husband eating was very vinegary, and didn't taste so good. Well that is not the fermented food we will be making! Instead we will make it the old fashioned way where it ferments naturally with just salt. This finished product is a lovely condiment to go with many foods we eat today. If you like something spicier, then I suggest you make Kimchi in our workshop. It is a spicier version of sauerkraut originating in the Orient. Click the link to contact me to register. Payments can be made by Email transfer, Visa or Mastercard, and you will receive a paid invoice when it has been processed.
